Ring devices are already on sale for October Prime Day, just like other Amazon devices that are discounted that you can buy right now. Take the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam, for example, which was unveiled back in May. The device is on sale for $50. That’s a $30 discount and its lowest price to date.
No prizes for guessing what this camera can do — it has a motorized base that can rotate 360 degrees to give you a full view of the room (as long as it’s in the optimal position, of course). The camera also has a tilt range of 169 degrees and captures HD video. It has the same features as other indoor Ring cams, like Live View and two-way talk. Those with a Ring Protect plan will gain access to additional features. There’s also a physical privacy shutter that separates the mic and camera.
On the other hand, the new Ring Battery Doorbell is 40 percent off and down to $60, while the Doorbell Pro is 35 percent off and down to $150. Both of these are some of the new video doorbells launched by Ring last year, and both have easily removable batteries that you’ll recharge from time to time to keep the device powered up.
Plus, the price of the regular Ring Indoor Cam has dropped to $30, again a record low. That’s 50 percent off its usual price of $60. Similarly, the Ring Stick Up Camera Pro is half off and down to a record low. This model, which is designed to withstand regular rain and snowfall while capturing footage in 1080p HDR, is on sale for $90.
If you’ve been waiting for a deal on Apple’s flagship AirPods Max, now’s the time to buy a pair. Amazon has discounted the USB-C model to $449, which is 18 percent off their suggested price of $549. Most of the colors have sold out since we first posted this story, but the Starlight color is still available at the time of this update.
The AirPods Max need no introduction, but it’s worth taking some time to consider whether it makes sense to buy them in 2025. There’s no doubt they sound great and offer strong integration with other Apple devices, but the AirPods Max are now more than four years old if you don’t count the minor refresh Apple did last September.
In that time, the competition has gotten even better; in fact, the AirPods Max aren’t even on Engadget’s list of the best noise-cancelling headphones you can buy in 2025. Even taking into account their current $100 discount, there are options like the Sony WH-1000XM5 that are better and cheaper.
